With the aim of facilitating the modernization of the country's industries and in line with the implementation of Article 48 of the Seventh Development Plan, the Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced in a circular that the import of machinery with state-of-the-art technology will be exempt from paying customs duties if it is not manufactured domestically or has no domestic production capacity.
